The Election Department administers the maintenance of the voter registration files, candidate filings and all aspects of the election process. Of primary emphasis and concern is making voter registration and the process of voting as simple and accessible as possible.

Forms

Voter Registration

1. an applicant for voter registration shall provide the applicant's driver's license number; or
2. if the applicant does not have a driver's license, the applicant shall provide the last four digits of the applicant's social security number.

 If an applicant does not have a driver's license or social security number:

an applicant appearing in person before the election administrator shall provide:

1. current and valid photo identification, including but not limited to a valid driver's license, a school district or
2. postsecondary education photo identification, or a tribal photo identification, with the individual's name; or
3. a current utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, government check, or
4. other government document that shows the individual's name and current address.

an applicant applying to register by mail shall also enclose a copy of:

1. a current and valid photo identification, including but not limited to a valid driver's license, a school district or
2. postsecondary education photo identification, or a tribal photo identification, with the individual's name; or
3. a current utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, government check, or
4. other government document that shows the individual's name and current address.
